With a variety of healthy foods such as fruits, whole grains and complex carbohydrates, women have plenty of options from which to choose. One other note: Vitamins and minerals like Vitamin E, B complex vitamins, magnesium and calcium are important for alleviating PMS symptoms and protecting vital organs.
An often underrated technique for women is carving out time for rest and relaxation. Escape is an integral aspect of any woman’s regular routine, says Marla Ahlgrimm. One prime example of an exciting getaway is spending an afternoon with a friend or family member. The location for this fun outing could be a café, museum, restaurant, shop or library. Just a few hours of conversation offers rejuvenation and refreshment.
Finally, Marla Ahlgrimm recommends embracing daily household routines in order to forget the pressures of work, family and other aspects of life. Walking the dog, folding laundry, chopping vegetables, or cooking often prove to be stress relievers.
